Steve Hunter – PGA Director of Golf

At the age of 36, Steve has been a PGA qualified instructor for over 12 years. During this time he has helped thousands of golfers to improve their game. His philosophy has always been to keep his coaching methods simple and easy to understand. He aims to create a relaxed atmosphere within which his pupils can really enjoy their coaching experience.

James Blake – PGA Qualified Teaching Professional

Blake joined Redbourn Golf Club's teaching academy in May 2008 after a successful time as Head Professional at Wensum Valley Golf and Country Club in Norfolk. Blake built an excellent reputation as a golf coach in Norfolk working with all abilities ranging from complete beginners to pro golfers.

Blake's success came from simple and easy to understand coaching methods and using the latest C-Swing video analysis equipment and training aids to give the golfer an informative and enjoyable coaching experience.

Blake offers individual lessons and group coaching for all ages in a relaxed and friendly environment.

As well as coaching all ages and abilities at Redbourn Golf Club, Blake is also Hertfordshire County Golf Coach. This role has Blake working within the Herts County Golf Union, coaching and guiding the most talented junior golfers within the county to help them improve, prepare for tournaments and achieve their potential.

James Sawford – PGA Qualified Professional

James' professional career started in 1996 at Wavendon Golf Centre in Milton Keynes following a successful club amateur career in Bedford. Shortly aftwerwards he joined the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) and was among the first to become PGA National Diploma qualified in 2001. The programme allows participants to broaden their knowledge in all aspects of professional golf.

In 2004 he became Head Professional and General Manager at a Golf Centre in Nottingham.

After 18 months in Nottingham and over 9 years with the same company he moved to Redbourn Golf Club as a Teaching Professional.

James' reputation is built on clear, easy to understand teaching methods combined with an extensive knowledge of the game.He has over 10 years experience coaching all levels from beginners to professionals.

Robert Emery - PGA Qualified Professional
