The Boot wins Pub Challenge

For the second year running The Boot in Chipperfield proved to be the top golfing pub in Hertfordshire after scooping the Herts Pub Golf Challenge at Redbourn Golf Club last week.
The four-man team of Lyle Rainey, Jimmy Bryson, Mark East and Dave Marchant downed the opposition with a stableford points haul of 94, seeing off second place The Carpenters Arms, Harpenden by four points.
Jimmy Bryson also celebrated winning the Nearest the Pin competition on the Par 3 16th hole which he converted for birdie.
The competition was held at Redbourn Golf Club, near Harpenden/St Albans, where teams of four battled it out to be crowned the region’s top pub.
The format of play saw the best two scores from each hold count towards the team’s total.

Golf 4 Women on Sundays
Golf is a great game for women and in recognition of this we have created a monthly 'get into golf' afternoon designed for women looking to move up from the Par 3 course onto the main course. Lead by a fully qualified PGA professional the sessions are designed for those that wish to learn and improve golf skills when the course is at it's quietest! Ideal for improvers and the more experienced golfer.
